well ive noticed breath of fire speeds up the heart some. im not actully sure im doing it 100% right since ive heard 2 technique variations. 1) breathe in and out fast pushing the stomach in and out and 2) breathe fast but just focus on the nostrils. sometimes on #2 i breahte deep but i think most of its going to the lungs. prehaps the diaphragm should be opened?
and then after the kriyas im beating relatively fast- and notice as i do more a better recovery time occurs. but is there a breathing technique to slow down the heart?
thanks alot

Re: BOF technique and Technique to slow down heart?
Thu, April 3, 2008 - 3:17 PMI've always known it as working the navel center, not the the nostrils. The best way I've seen it taught is to start a panting breath with your mouth open and notice the action of the navel. Keep the navel action going, close your mouth and breathe through your nose to get breath of fire.
