how do we visualize the chakras?.
do we visualize them in our own body or do we visualize a light body in front of us and then in that light body we visualize the symbols of chakras?

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 6:28 AMi go directly inside to the center channel, sushumna.
that said, i think any way you visualize them is fine, because it changes over time anyway. i think you should just go with whichever way you're naturally being drawn to see them. it's all good. :-)

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 11:04 PMThe Chinese Taoists apparently used to do the same, along with circular breathing of Prana. They recorded the stages with hexagraphs, e.g. :::||| for the burning fire of the heart (false ego desire?).

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 11:07 PMAstavakra Samhita is a good way to start. Just discreate false ego. Freud e.g. studied the wrong wgo. we are not the psyche. The psyche is from Mara. Could be that what is we does not even think. Tao knows neither yin nor yang. www.vcn.bc.ca/ims-hq/Plai...e/intro.html
Sorry to paste the fiorst western link I bumped upon. astavakra Samhita and NETI NETI are a sort of shortcut when you do not need extra illusion. Become your Self. Sorry again I am speaking with an authority that is not mine?

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 1:38 PMHi Prateek,
In chakra meditation, visualization of the chakra is unimportant, what is important is that you focus your mind on the chakra and push other thoughts out of your mind. If it helps you, you might visualize a point or ball of light in the area of the chakra. If you have difficulty holding your mind on the chakra then you can even try touching the area of the chakra lightly to help direct your mind there. After practicing for a while you will begin to feel energy surges in the area of the chakra. The most important thing is consistent practice. I recommend to my students to practice twice a day, once in the morning after taking a shower and drinking some coffee or tea if you need it, and once again in the evening around the time of the sunset or right before you go to sleep. A meditation session should be between 15 minutes and an hour. If you are in the bay area, I would encourage you to come to my meditation classes at the Moksha Life Center Monday nights at 7.
Cheers!

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 11:09 PMYou can use follow or billiard balls of light in the appropriate color, enter them, discreate and reinstall fresh ones. That we did in O5 and RTRRT but it is just a game. Intent is what liberates ans not magickal intent but deeper, the deepest intent is to be free, even from cakras.

Re: how to visualize the chakras
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 11:02 PMTe question is do they exist, cakras, or are they a stairway to heaven. Colors vary. Quality answers are rare, at best Sri Chinmoy style... In some schools like Ramakrishna, there is little mention on cakras, more like every cell is a cakra in celibacy...
